A glimps to a memorie
The video had to do two things at once: please the client and speak to the fans. That meant capturing the energy of a concert for an audience that already loves the band, and delivering it in a format built for social media.
"Asian Kung-Fu Generation Lima 2026"
Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a Japanese alternative rock band that formed in Yokohama, Japan, in 1996. They are widely known for songs used in anime, which gave them a loyal fan base across Latin America. Their 2026 show in Lima was part of a tour celebrating 30 years together, and it took place at the Parque de la Exposición, an open-air amphitheater with a capacity of 4,000 and one of the best-known event venues in the city.
Tarkus Producciones, the producer of the concert, commissioned a video that would record the event and give them content for social media.
Edited for the Fans
This is part of my editing service for filmmakers: they cover the event, and I find the story inside the footage. Together with the filmmaker, we gathered all the material we could and I cut it into a lively, high-energy video. The rhythm follows the music, and the edit reflects who the audience is and the kind of music the band plays.
Results
The video was a success in reach and delivered what the client was looking for on social media. It gave the producer a recap that fans engaged with, shared and talked about.
